On 25th November 2018 Blood donation camp was organized at HSIS Dispensary, collected 73 units of blood from donors

Free Bone Density Camp-Gottigere Dispensary
On 7th Jan’2019 conducted Free Bone Density Camp was organized at HSIS Dispensary. Camp started at 9.30am, around 70+ patients were benefitted.
Visit to Nandigrama

This is community service activities which makes all the difference. Holistic approach and well connected to the ultimate benefercies.
Midtown Club must design for such activities and work diligently.

PULSE POLIO CAMP
On 10th Mar 2019 nationwide Polio Immunization program was organized. Our club participated At 5th Cross, 9th Main, Saibaba Nagar, Srirampuram, Bangalore-21. Dr. Satyavathi along with her team and volunteers around 160 did a great job of immunizing 5963 Children in and around Sriramapuram Area. Covering 2 wards (93 & 94) and one Railway station platform.
Midtowners assembled at New Krishna Bhavan, Malleswaram for Breakfast and visited Polio camp.
On 11th and 12th Mar-2019 the team visited door to door checking for the children who were not immunized and successfully completed the job in the area.
Breakfast, Auto facility, Tea, Coffee and Lunch for the Volunteers, Nursing students and Dr Sathyavathi’s team was arranged by Rotary Bangalore Midtown.
Free Breast Cancer Screening Camp
1. On 20th Apr 2019, Saturday Free Breast Cancer Screening Camp was heald at Charitable Dispensary, Gottigere, Bangalore. Rotary Midtown with the support of Niramai & Team Allpink to help women using Niramai’s great technology.
Breast Cancer:
Breast Cancer is the leading type of cancer in women. According to WHO, one in every 8 women in US is at the risk of developing a breast abnormality in her life time. It is well-established that early diagnosis is very critical in saving a life of a cancer patient. NIRAMAI have developed a new cancer screening software that uses machine intelligence over thermography images to enable a low cost, easy to use, portable solution and requires minimal human supervision. This solution can detect cancer at a much earlier stage than traditional diagnostic methods and self-examination and can therefore improve survival rates. The method of breast cancer screening can detect tumors 5 times smaller than what clinical exam can detect, is non-contact, painless and free of any radiation, apart from being low-cost, and universally accessible. With this solution, women of all age groups can undergo frequent screening without any side-effects.
Niramai : A Novel Breast Cancer Screening Solution:
NIRAMAI solution uses a high resolution thermal sensing device and a cloud hosted analytics solution for analysing the thermal images. Their SaaS solution uses big data analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning for reliable, early and accurate breast cancer screening. The innovative methods used in solution have led to multiple US patents. Their novel algorithms have also been peer-reviewed in international scientific conferences.
Their cancer screening tool, SMILE, has been tested on 300 patients data from 2 hospitals and one diagnostic center. Early results from these tests indicate very high accuracy that is comparable and sometime better that Mammography.
They have started 2 clinical trials with established hospitals to perform large scale, statistically significant clinical trials. They are working with multiple partners to make their solution commercially available.
Totally 17 women screened, due to unforeseen circumstances. The Bangalore heat rendered the Niramai process extremely slow and were not able to get down the temperature of the patients to the level required for screening to take place and the delay drove away a few patients and many patients simply did not turn up.
2. Free Breast Cancer Diagnostic Camp
Free Breast Cancer Diagnostic camp @ Vasavi Hospital in association with ALLPink and Niramai Technology was executed on 18th November 2018, 43 people were benefitted using a novel technology from Niramai Health Analytix.
Success of any such project an only be quantified by the number of people we helped and whit it pains us to say that we found 9 cases where breast cancer was suspected wherein, 2 were high threat, Niramai and AllPink are following up with those patients in order to ensure that they receive the best help they possibly can. A major positive of the camp was the fact that we were able to help many of the hospital staff who wouldn’t have ever considered any screening of this kind.
